LR-ScreenShotSportsRecruits.com, US Lacrosse’s Official Service Provider for Recruiting, launched Version Two of the company’s successful website this week. The site was rebuilt from scratch, tapping the latest technology to go along with the experience gained from working with over 8,000 players since 2008.

Over the next few days, we are going to take a more in depth look at some of the innovative new features high school players and college coaches enjoy.

Today, we examine the new data players have around their college lacrosse recruiting process.

New Feature

Users now have up-to-the-second access on which schools have viewed their profile and video. The information is easily viewed and organized in one place.

Why It Matters

As SportsRecruits.com members keep college coaches up to date on their progress on and off the field, they can focus their recruiting efforts on those schools that have shown a continued interest in them.

From Co-Founder Matt Wheeler:

“Many non-SportsRecruits.com members employ what we call the ‘spray and pray’ method when it comes to recruiting. They send coaches DVDs in the mail or email them YouTube links with no real plan. Not only is it a pain to dig up all the contact information for the schools you are reaching out to, but you have zero idea what sort of traction you are receiving.”

What It Means

This new data will allow members to focus their recruiting efforts on those schools that show continued interest in them, and can open new opportunities and lines of communication based off of a mutual interest between coaches and players.

From Co-Founder Matt Wheeler:

“The #1 mistake we see non-members make is going after the wrong band of schools. Before they know it, their process has passed them by. This new feature ensures members are staying laser focused.”

How SportsRecruits.com Can Help

There are a number of ways SportsRecruits.com can assist its members. Aside from the quick access to college coaches – every DI, DII and DIII coach is a registered user – our staff can look at a member’s profile, transcripts and highlight reel to help guide the player in the recruiting process. Staffers are former collegiate lacrosse players who can help give a member an idea of the 20-30 schools to focus on.

SportsRecruits.com members have had amazing success getting into their target schools. Click here to see a list of some recently committed members.

SportsRecruits.com was started by two former Wesleyan lacrosse players and is staffed by former lacrosse players who played at every level – from Virginia to Monmouth to Wesleyan. Members deal with former college players when issues arise – players who have dealt with many of those same issues themselves.

The Fall is a great time to connect with your target list of programs after a crazy Summer. Call 212-414-8417 or email Ryan@SportsRecruits.com if you have questions about how to become a member.
