The 2013 Super Sophs Girls Showcase took place on Sunday, July 28 at Greenwich High School in Greenwich, Connecticut. The one-day event featured over 150 members of the 2015 Class, broken up into 10 teams. After registration, the day began with an informative recruiting seminar run by SportsRecruits.com. The one-day event featured over 200 members of the 2015 Class, broken up into 12 teams. Participants hailed from 21 States, 159 high schools, and represented over 120 club teams. After registration, the day began with an informative recruiting seminar run by SportsRecruits.com. The informational session, which was open to players and parents, provided an overview of the recruiting timeline and featured a Q & A to aid players and their families. There were plenty of coaches on hand at Greenwich High School, including Amherst, Army, Bryant, Bucknell, Fairfield, Hofstra, Loyola, Navy, Stony Brook and Wesleyan among many others. Countdown to Fab Frosh: One Day
The Fab Frosh Boys Showcase, featuring rising members of the class of 2016, will be held on Friday, July 26 at Greenwich High School in Greenwich, Connecticut. The event, which debuted last year, enters its second year in 2013. A one day showcase, players play in three games and participate in Nike SPARQ testing which consists of NFL Combine-style agility drills and running tests. The day ends with an All-Star game, allowing players selected yet another opportunity to improve their game while being seen by college coaches. In 2012, coaches in attendance included UMass, Penn State, Bryant, Army, Brown, Bucknell, Stony Brook, Fairfield, Hartford, Quinnipiac, Princeton, Sacred Heart, UPenn, Michigan, Marquette, Navy, Manhattan, Dartmouth, Yale, Wesleyan, Connecticut College, Marywood, Washington College and Richmond. Featured Five: Good to Great Lacrosse Showcase
The third-annual Good to Great Lacrosse Showcase took place from Sunday, July 14 through Tuesday, July 16 on the campus of Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts. The event featured roughly 350 players from the 2014, 2015 and 2016 classes. Run by Amherst college head coach Jon Thompson and his staff, Good to Great is fast becoming a must-attend for players interested in top-flight lacrosse schools with a focus on academics. There were plenty of coaches lining the sidelines for the action, including plenty representing the NESCAC and Patriot League. Many other institutions were also represented, as the showcase featured teams being led by college coaches to reinforce individual development while gaining exposure.
