Tristan Robinson StillTristan Robinson (San Antonio, Texas/Saint Mary’s Hall) has committed to play lacrosse at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.

Furman, which will play its inaugural season in 2014, is coached by former Naval Academy front-man and current U.S. Men’s National Senior Team head coach Richie Meade. The team will compete as an affiliate in the Atlantic Sun Conference, which will add men’s lacrosse as an NCAA Division I championship sport in the Spring of 2014.

The other members of the conference that will be competing in lacrosse are Jacksonville, Mercer, High Point (affiliate), Richmond (affiliate) and VMI (affiliate). Like Furman, Richmond will also play its inaugural season next year.

A long and athletic midfielder, Robinson should be a solid contributor at Furman. The Texas product has good speed and the ability to run by defenders utilizing his long stride. Once down the alley, he displays a good shot on the run, generating power without slowing down his feet, making life difficult on the defending player.

Below is our Q&A with Tristan, who discusses his experience using SportsRecruits.com.
