July 9, 2019 – Bay Area Lacrosse Club and SportsRecruits are excited to announce a club integration for the 2019-2020 season. As part of the integration, Bay Area Lacrosse Club student-athletes will be able to utilize the best-in-class sports recruiting technology. The SportsRecruits platform provides Bay Area Lacrosse Club the ability to stay informed with each of their student-athlete’s college recruiting process, from start to finish. We spoke with Gretchen Mayer, director of Bay Area Lacrosse Club, about providing SportsRecruits to their student-athletes to compete at the next level.
How will you utilize SportsRecruits as a Coach/Director?
“SportsRecruits is a great tool to help facilitate and oversee communication between my players and college coaches. The formatting and organization of the platform is very user-friendly for our families to access all of the features that it has to offer. The search engine tool provides such a wide range of information and is a great starting point for our players just beginning the recruiting process. For those athletes who are further along in the process, being able to see coaches visiting your player profile page and accessing your highlight videos is extremely beneficial. From a player perspective, it can be challenging when you are unsure who is interested in recruiting you, so getting that feedback is so validating.”
Why would you recommend this to someone who might be on the fence?
“One of my favorite features of this program is the feedback that it provides to both players and recruiting coordinators within our organization. As a recruiting coordinator, I always stress to my players the importance of taking ownership of their recruiting process. SportsRecruits provides players with all of the tools that are needed during the recruiting process, while also providing information to the director and recruiting coordinator on how much time each student-athlete is putting into their recruiting process.”
What was one of the biggest issues with recruiting before SportsRecruits? How do you envision SportsRecruits impacting those issues?
“SportsRecruits has solved our previous issue of providing accessibility of player profiles while also maintaining player privacy. This program is easy for players to edit and share their profiles while also protecting their personal information. In addition, the recruiting flyers that are built into the program save us a lot of time in providing coaches with the most up to date information.”
