SOUTHERN KENTUCKY – October, 2016 – Southern Kentucky Elite Volleyball Academy (“SKEVA”) and SportsRecruits have reached an agreement on a club integration, it was announced today. As part of the agreement, SKEVA staff and players will receive access to the innovative suite of tools provided by the recruiting platform.

SportsRecruits is a technology solution that automatically organizes the recruiting process for club staff and players. With SportsRecruits, players share their athletic stats, academic transcripts, event schedule and video. The Built-In Messaging System connects the club to every college coach in the country.
“We were attracted to this platform because it is a product that is completely in line with our mission and vision,” said Jason Reels, SKEVA Vice President and Founder.
Kindling the Recruiting Fire
When the club’s three founders started SKEVA earlier this year, they recognized a broken recruiting system in their area.
“College recruitment in our area has suffered from a lack of knowledge, resources, and a lack of effort,” added Reels. “SportsRecruits represents the changes we hope to make in this volleyball community, and ultimately more opportunity for each player.”
“Recruitment is a vital process that keeps players playing the sport they love,” said Lindsey Sheffield, SKEVA Secretary/Treasurer and Founder.
SportsRecruits, the SKEVA staffers believe, will have far-reaching impacts on their players.
For one, players can communicate with any coach in the country. Why is this important? On SportsRecruits, players’ success is directly correlated with their initiative. The platform puts players in direct contact with college coaches. They can look up any school in the country, and contact its coach within the same browsing session. SKEVA believes this will help make players feel empowered, which in turn will keep them motivated.
“If young athletes haven’t started the exciting process of college recruitment, they will begin to fade after their 15’s or 16’s year,” said Sheffield. “This is a very regrettable and completely avoidable phenomena. Our program will reap the benefits of a great reputation after multiple players are seen to have been recruited through this process.”
