Introduction

We caught up with Bowdoin College Men’s Lacrosse Assistant Coach Cooper Quenneville for a discussion about the Bowdoin lacrosse program and what he looks for when recruiting student-athletes.

You can find our conversation below.

The Conversation

What are you most excited about with regards to your program?

I am excited to be a part of the future, to watch the kids we have grow and to see how the kids we bring in mesh to the culture of our team.

What jumps out at you when recruiting? What do you look for in a player?

I look for hard work, game IQ, overall athleticism, and a good attitude.

What are your “pet peeves” when recruiting?

Seeing a prospective student talking back to a ref or coach; and also making a bad play and then giving up the rest of the action.

What is the best way interested student-athletes should get in touch with you?

Interested student-athletes should contact us via email and answer our recruiting questionnaire.

What should student-athletes avoid in their messaging to college coaches?

Having their parents be the one to email us.

Once again, thanks to Cooper for his time, and best of luck to Bowdoin the rest of the season!
