Stay On Target – Using Notifications to Keep Moving Forward
Welcome to our Recruiting Engagement Series, where we will show how to utilize our platform to make the most of the recruiting process.
General: Once the recruiting process gets started for a student-athlete, it is easy to become complacent. Whether a target-list of schools has been identified, or messages sent to college coaches, the mindset that the work is done is a dangerous one that is also very easy to adopt.
Why It Matters: It is important to keep the momentum moving forward. One of the best ways to do this to be very diligent with your communication. This means responding immediately to a college coach, and keeping tabs on your timelines to ensure you are continuing outreach at the proper pace.
How to Do It: Student-athletes on the platform can set their profiles to send instant text message and/or email alerts when a college coach has viewed their profile or video. By being in the know of when engagement takes place, student-athletes and their families can be sure no action slips through the cracks.

Overheard from a College Coach: “Timing in the recruiting process is vital.”
Supporting Statistic: The more active student-athletes are on the platform, the better the chances a college coach will engage with them.
The more active student-athletes are on the platform, the better the chances a college coach will engage with them.
Summary: As we consistently mention in this space, communication is key in the recruiting process. Building relationships with college coaches is the name of the game, and in order to do so, it is vital to ensure all correspondence occurs in a timely fashion. Making a positive impression on a college coach is vital, and one of the ways to accomplish this is to exemplify via action – in this case, response time and organization – that as a student-athlete, you are responsible and trustworthy.
