The recruiting process can feel hectic, chaotic and stressful. But it does not have to be!
In reality, there is a method to what can feel like madness, and the process is actually quite predictable.
Consider these data points from our thousands of users, which correspond to three of the pillars of the process.
Research
The stat: Members who favorite 5 or more schools receive 7x as many profile and video views.
The point: Student-athletes should get the process started by creating a target-list of 15-20 schools. Judging by the numbers, going into the process with a plan means starting the process at an advantage.
Video
The stat: Members with video receive 11x more messages from college coaches than members who don’t have video.
The point: Bring your game to coaches by providing them your highlight heel. It’s no secret, but video is paramount in the process, and it is the best way to show a coach your skills.
Message
The stat: Members who send just 1 message receive 5x as many profile and video views as members who haven’t sent any.
The point: To borrow a sports metaphor, you have to shoot to score! The only way to ensure you are on the radar of a coach is to contact them, show them your video and alert them of your interest in their program.
As you can see, being proactive by researching schools, having video and messaging college coaches can make the recruiting process less chaotic and more predictable!
