LRNews debuted back in January. We have strived to be entertaining, informative and original with our content, and will continue to do so for an even better 2014.
It’s been a great year for us, and we hope you have enjoyed reading and watching!
HERE IS A SAMPLING OF LRNEWS IN 2013:
– Published 450 pieces of original content, beginning with some thoughts about the US Lacrosse Convention in January.
– Went On Campus for All-Access looks into programs at the University of Notre Dame and Wesleyan University this Fall, providing viewers an educational and in-depth look at both Division I and Division III lacrosse options.
– Interviewed leading lacrosse minds like Notre Dame head coach Kevin Corrigan and Wesleyan head Coach John Raba, finding out what they look for in high school players.
– Traveled over 3,000 miles on the recruiting trail during the Summer, taking in some 16 boys and girls events from Jake Reed’s Nike Blue Chip in Baltimore, Maryland to the Northstar Invitational in Lake Placid, New York.
– Provided player observations and event recap videos from events like Maverik Showtime and the Northern Rise.
– Wrote educational information in the world of recruiting, from Showcase Guides to Recruiting Realities to Why “Coaches in Attendance” Lists aren’t paramount.
– Attended 15 high school games in the Spring, sampling some of the best teams in the nation and traveling over 1,500 miles to bring you excellent written and video content.
– Covered some of the top boys squads like Ward Melville and Boys’ Latin, and even wondered what a game between the two may look like.
– Interviewed some of the top high school coaches and club directors in the country, from Boys’ Latin head coach Bob Shriver to Episcopal School of Dallas head coach Pat Kennedy to Moorestown head coach Deanna Knobloch to BLC Crabs Director Ryan McLernan.
– Kept up with SportsRecruits.com member college commitments, like a recent Dallas trio committed to play at the next level.
– Got perspective from current players, sitting down with former Syracuse star JoJo Morasco and having guest column’s written by current collegiate players Greg Piettroforte (Wesleyan) and Case Matheis (Duke).
