Scout: Cobb is an athletic midfielder who dodges hard down the alley and shows good ability to get to the cage. Using his speed and a quick first step, he is able to gain the separation needed to get his hands free and get shots off. A strong finisher, Cobb shoots well on the run and is able to keep goaltenders guessing by changing levels.
Cobb also flashes good straight-ahead speed in transition, where he can beat the opposition into the box to create odd-man opportunities. He displays good vision in these situations, and also when inverted behind the cage, where he dodges with his head up to find open teammates.
