Last week girls high school action was highlighted by a trip North for St. Stephens/St. Agnes (VA), who defeated Manhasset (NY) on Friday before falling to St. Anthonys (NY) on Saturday.
Meanwhile, McDonogh (MD) and Garden City (NY) both remained undefeated, as did Moorestown (NJ). West Genesee (NY) also remained undefeated, winning twice last week to push their 2013 record to 10-0.
This week features some great matchups with powerhouse teams.
GAME OF THE WEEK
Garden City (NY) at Farmingdale (NY) – Thursday, 5/2
A gigantic matchup on Long Island Thursday as Garden City visits Farmingdale. The Trojans enter the week unscathed at 10-0, a record that includes two overtime victories and Mondays 11-8 decision over Wantagh (NY). Meanwhile, Farmingdale is 9-1, with their only loss coming to 9-1 New Canaan (CT) by one goal.

TEAM TO WATCH
McDonogh (MD)
McDonogh looks to cap an undefeated regular season on Thursday as they take on also undefeated Marriotts Ridge (MD). The Eagles have been excellent in 2013, entering the week with an 18-0 record. Impressively, they have scored no fewer than 10 goals in any game this season.
STAT OF THE WEEK
An interesting note on Thursdays Darien (CT) at Wilton (CT) matchup:
Darien enters the week at 8-1, with their only loss coming early this season in double overtime to Garden City (NY). Since then, the Blue Wave has scored no fewer than 14 goals en route to a dominant six-game winning streak. Wilton, meanwhile, enters this rivalry game at 7-3, but two of their three losses have come in their past three games.
Will Darien continue its recent offensive success, or will Wilton get back on track? Well find out in what should be a great rivalry game on Thursday.
