Each Monday this spring, we will be discussing some news and notes from the weekend in girl’s high school action.

Last week saw many top teams opening their schedules – with many more still to come.

It was a solid weekend for McDonogh (MD), who recorded impressive wins over Bryn Mawr (MD) on Thursday, March 21 and Episcopal Academy (PA) on Saturday.

Last week was also a big one for St. Stephen’s/St. Agnes (VA), who defeated Notre Dame Prep (MD) on Friday before taking down Radnor (PA) on Sunday. The Saints have scored at least 13 goals in each of their first three games (3-0).

Kudos to Vero Beach (FL), who split two games on Saturday as part of the AmLax Challenge played in St. Petersburg, FL. The Indians dropped the first game to Conestoga (PA) in overtime before rebounding to defeat Germantown Academy (PA).
