The second annual BLC Crabs Top Prospect Camp took place Monday, June 17 through Thursday, June 20 at the St. James School in Hagerstown, Maryland. The developmental camp was held for members of the 2017 and 2018 classes. Check out the video for some great highlights of the camp.

Quick Highlights: Baltimore Summer Kickoff 2015/2016 All-Star Game

The first session of the Baltimore Summer Kickoff took place Friday, June 14 through Sunday, June 16. On Saturday night, two All-Star games were played, comprised with some of the best players from the day’s action. Over 50 coaches lined the sidelines to take in the action, including some big names like Virginia’s Dom Starsia and Denver’s Bill Tierney. Other schools with an on-field presence from the DI ranks included Hopkins, North Carolina, Ohio State, while the DIII scene was also strongly represented by national powers Stevenson, Gettysburg and Amherst. The second All-Star game played was for members of the 2015 and 2016 classes. Check out the video for some highlights of the action.

Relive the Season: Chapter 8 – St. Ignatius (CA) at Chaminade (NY)

This spring, the LR News team traveled to 15 games across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions, making stops from Conestoga (PA) up to Salisbury (CT) and many in between. Chapter 8 took us to Chaminade High School (NY) on Thursday, April 25 for a huge interstate matchup between the Flyers and visiting California power St. Ignatius (CA). Chaminade built a 5-2 lead in the third quarter and held off a late run from St. Ignatius to take the 5-4 win. The game was a great one that showed just how much the sport has grown out West. We were fortunate to catch up with Mark Schindler, the varsity head coach at Mercersburg Academy (PA) and founder of Nexus Lacrosse, a new enterprise designed to provide premier, developmental lacrosse opportunities for elite pre-varsity players. As the coach of a school with PGs, Schindler is an excellent source of information on the subject. Chapter 7 took us to Mendham High School (NJ) on Thursday, April 18 for a girl’s matchup between the Minutemen and visiting Chatham Cougars (NJ). Mendham used a 4-1 second-half run to stretch a one-goal halftime lead into a 10-6 victory. Check out the video for some great highlights of the action.
