An Interview With: Duke Midfielder Brendan Fowler
This week, we were fortunate to catch up with Duke midfielder and faceoff specialist Brendan Fowler (right; photo credit Duke Athletics). Fowler, who was named the NCAA Tournaments Most Valuable Player after his dominant performances in the postseason, helped lead the Blue Devils to their second National Championship in 2013. His extraordinary efforts culminated in a 20-for-28 output from the faceoff dot against Syracuse in the Championship Game on Memorial Day. During the season, he set NCAA faceoff records in both wins (339) and draws taken (526). Below is our Q&A with Brendan, who discusses Dukes run to the Championship, his unusual path to the Duke lacrosse team as a two-sport athlete and the traits he values most in players and teammates. ...

Featured Five: Nike Blue Chip Rising Sophomores
The rising sophomore sessions of Jake Reeds Nike Blue Chip Lacrosse Camp took place from Tuesday evening, June 25 through Thursday morning, June 27 on the campus of UMBC in Catonsville, Maryland. In total, there were four sessions of games played on two adjacent fields one Tuesday evening, three Monday (although poor weather altered times for the afternoon and evening timeslots) and one final round on Thursday morning. Upward of 270 members of the Class of 2016 participated in games in front of some 100 coaches, including many of the top programs from the DI ranks. The rising junior portion of Jake Reeds Nike Blue Chip Lacrosse Camp took place from Sunday evening, June 23 through Tuesday morning, June 25 on the campus of UMBC in Catonsville, Maryland. In total, there were four sessions of games played on two adjacent fields one Sunday evening, three Monday and one final round on Tuesday morning. 252 members of the Class of 2015 participated in games in front of some 100 coaches. Jake Reeds Nike Blue Chip Rising Juniors: Monday Recap
252 rising juniors took the field last night and again today at Jake Reeds Nike Blue Chip Lacrosse Camp held at UMBC. There were a plethora of coaches on hand to take in the action today. Over 80 coaches including 60 representing Division I institutions were in attendance. It was a hot, humid day in Baltimore, and players battled the heat as much as each other. However, after an evening shower playing conditions were much more favorable for the night session under the lights. We will post our Featured Five after tomorrow morning's rising junior portion concludes, but here a few players that stood out during the three sessions today. ...
