Girls High School Weekend Recap: April 8

Moorestown-CC Last week, there were some fantastic interstate girls high school matchups, one of which featured a notable upset.

Down in Florida, Vero Beach (FL) took down St. Anthonys (NY) by a surprising 13-12 score. Vero Beach moved to 12-4 on the season, while St. Anthonys dropped to 2-1.

In another big interstate matchup, Cherry Creek (CO) winners of two of the past three Colorado State Titles traveled to perennial power Moorestown (NJ) winners of 13 consecutive New Jersey State Titles. The game was close early before Moorestown pulled away for the 15-4 win.

Meanwhile, it was another big week for Georgetown Visitation (D.C.), who took down Milton (GA) in overtime, 13-12 and also defeated Radnor (PA), 9-8.
